@Eoin If we the USERs like to use CTRL F why would you remove that feature? it costs you to remove it. It costs us convenience. BAD UX. Bad customer service
Hey @Eoin just received the message in Jira, when configuring a company-managed board, that the new features are coming and I can enable now ... except hitting "Switch now" does nothing.
@Eoin other lag we're experiencing in enhanced mode in backlog view:
Epics panel (we have a lot on the main production board)
Pressing "E" there is a delay of 3-4 seconds before epics panel appears
Dragging epics to reorder: on release causes a browser "Page unresponsive" timeout of about 30-60 seconds. And usually, I've got to refresh the tab once it starts responding again, as it becomes slow to respond to anything else (open sprint
This now mean we cannot reorder our epics manually? Is this known? has this feature been stress-tested with lots of epics (in the hundreds).
PS I'd love a better interface/method of reordering epics \oo/ \oo/
@Eoin I am deeply concerned about the Enhanced view being rolled out soon without a fix for the Ctrl+F issue. It is unacceptable that we're going to lose the basic browser functionality of being able to search for an issue using this common browser command. My teams are freaking out, and for good reason!
I've seen your recent response on this thread and the expected behavior you described does not seem to be working. In the enhanced backlog view, I cannot use Ctrl+F to find an issue unless it's already visible on the page. So, like you suggested, I used the Search filter and that pulled up the issue. But since I want to see that issue with all the other issues around it (not alone!), I selected the issue (checked the little box on the left side of the issue) and then cleared the Search filter, but my view changed to show the top of the Sprint that issue was in - which meant I still could not see my issue, could not use Ctrl+F to find the issue, and had to just scroll and scroll until my eyes saw the issue I had selected.
Am I doing something wrong? How in the heck am I supposed to quickly find issues in a long Backlog unless I want to see that issue all alone?? Nobody wants to see issues all alone! I feel like I'm taking crazy pills here!!

Hi @Lee Richards - thanks for the info. Can you raise a support ticket for this please? We'll need to take a look at your board filter as well as your config to see if we can diagnose the specific cause for this degradation. Thanks

Hi @Monica Morris - sorry for putting that message out too soon - I just checked and we are only out to 50% of people with a fix for the scroll positioning after the filter is cleared, and you are probably in the 50% that don't have it - my understanding is that it will be out 100% tomorrow. Sorry again for the confusion
I wish I could search these comments - my question may have been already answered.
The new view is MUST less efficient in terms of utilizing screen real estate. (Most of the time we care about the Description and Story Points...we want as much width as possible for that.)
Is there any way to get the other information more compressed on the right hand side, or maybe control widths of each column?
We have finally managed to adapt our App "Kanban Combined WIP for Jira Cloud" 🌈 IN NEW ENHANCED BOARDS!! 🚀 The truth is that it looks great now!! Here a small video comparing the classic Kanban board with the new enhanced one: https://youtu.be/H0Wf7HZigf0
Hi @Eoin If you could create a YouTube video that shows how to best use all these changes, that would be a great video that I could share with my team. Thank you
I have been using the enhanced view for a while now, and I absolutely love it! Being able to see the estimates, the status of the items in the Backlog view is great. Also, no more custom filters to look for versions or issue types. The epic filter is one of my favorites and most used features.
_Please please_ fix the dragging from version to version before you force everyone onto this new UI. Currently, with the version panel on, if I filter by a version and drag an issue onto a different version, it updates the fixVersion to the version I dropped it on. It's how we manage our Kanban versions. In the new UI, it _appends_ the dropped-on version which is a regression and not what anyone would want.
@Eoin alternatively, maybe I just haven't found an easy way but if I am looking at 100 tickets and want to quickly spread them around versions, it's now practically impossible whereas before, it took seconds. What am I missing?
Hi @Eoin I've just tested the functionality you described on this thread again and unfortunately it still doesn't seem to be working for me. I use the search bar to find an issue in the Backlog that's not currently visible on the screen, select the issue, and clear the search bar - but when I clear the search bar, the screen view takes me right back up to the top of the first sprint in the Backlog. I still have to scroll and use my eyes to find the selected issue if I want to see it among the other issues.
Do you have an updated timeframe for when this workaround will be released to all customers?
Hello @Eoin - something that's changed is now when you hover over the Epic for an issue in the backlog, it doesn't show the full Epic name by the cursor like it used to. Is there a way to get this functionality back? Our Epic names are often quite long so only seeing the first couple of words makes it a bit hard to distinguish which is which. Also the overall UI is really nice :) Just this one niggle.
