how do I prompt a justification when transitioning to a specific status

I would like users to have to provide a reason why an issue is cancelled when moved to that status.

Hi @Jeremy Lynde ,

if you are using a company managed project, verify this in the lower left corner, then you can add a validator to your workflow transition. You should add a custom field that the user can use to add their justification. Your validator would require that that custom field be completed before proceeding with the transition. If this is an appropriate approach for you, and you need further assistance on it, please let me know. With that said, there are a lot of examples of adding validator's within the community.
