I have a project on Jira for preventative maintenance at work and I want to automate it to export issue data every time an issue is set to DONE so that the issue can be reused every time the maintenance is required and I can build up an external log of when maintenance was performed and any comments added to the issue at that time of service.
How can I do this with Jira automation?
While I think @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- 's questions are valid, I want to mention that Better Excel Automation does exactly this - on Jira Data Center (Server).
The problem is that automation extensions are not currently available for Jira Cloud. That's because Atlassian currently doesn't allow integrations for Automation for Jira Cloud.
If you think this would be a useful feature for your team, please vote for the feature request in Atlassian's system: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CLOUD-10966

That sounds like a very kludgy thing to do. Where are these spreadsheet lines going? Or probably more pertinently - where do they end up? What is the reporting on them? Why are your people looking at a spreadsheet instead of your issue tracker where you're tracking the work?
