Does anyone know how I should configure the custom fields in the Jira projects, because I want to connect custom fields in 2 projects, in the first they appear but not in the second? Do you know what it is due to?

To be more specific. This task belongs to "Project A", I have custom fields "Applicant area", "Responsible area", "Project type" and "Managed by processes?".Campos JIRA Personalizados.png
I have created all of these by configuring the incidents in the project

I did this same process for Project A and for Project B. So when linking the incidents in both projects. In Project A the customized ones appear, but in Project B they do not.

And I can't link them. Is the solution still the same or does the context change?

Hey @Leonardo Zevallos Guzman

thank you for providing further details. I've seen that you've also opened a ticket in our support system. In order to not share too many details publicly, I'd advise you to continue the discussion in the support ticket. After solving the ticket, we can then share the solution here again.

Cheers,
Matthias.

Hi @Leonardo Zevallos Guzman

here's Matthias from the Backbone team and I'm happy to try to help you.

In order to enable custom fields to synchronize with Backbone, you only need to make sure that the fields are present on your edit/view screens as @Margaret Clark described.

When you're then setting up a synchronization with Backbone, you should be able to see the different custom fields and e.g. type in their name to find them.

One thing which comes to my mind is when you've just recently added the field, you can clear Backbone's cache (in the upper right ... menu > Clear Backbone Cache). Backbone then loads all the fields, issue types, etc from Jira again.

Does this help? If not, please share a screenshot or describe in more detail where your fields are not showing up. Feel free to also open a support ticket on support.k15t.com where you can share your information privately.

Cheers,
Matthias.

Hi Leonardo,

My guess is that you haven't linked the fields to your second project.

Under Project Settings > Fields

Search for the specific field you want to see. You will see Screens. If you have both your projects assigned to this field it will show 2 screens.

To add your second project follow these steps:

Click the Pen icon directly under the Actions Drop down in the upper right of the System Default Field Configuration

The Issues window will then open.

Look for your field and select screens

The next page that shows will be the list of all boards your company has in Jira. Find your second project and put a tick in the check box for that project. Sometimes there may be two screens associated to that project in which case select both.

Once you have done that scroll right to the bottom and select update

I hope that this helps you in some way :)
