The Message is, is there a way to cleardown the space in use, archive
With Jira Work Management Free, your license includes 2 GB of storage. We wanted to let you know that you've just reached your limit. |
To unlock more storage, upgrade to Jira Work Management Standard for only $5/user/month. You'll get 250 GB of storage, 1,000 monthly automation rule executions, and more advanced features like custom user permissions and security preferences. |
We'll even give you the first 14 days on us to try it out, commitment-free. |
Hi @Richard Robinson. You would need to consider cleaning up some data or upgrading your subscription.
Clean Up Your Data: Start by reviewing and deleting unnecessary files, attachments, or data no longer needed. This can help free up some space.
Optimize Attachments: Compress images or documents before uploading them to Jira. This can significantly reduce the storage they consume.
External Storage Links: Instead of uploading files directly to Jira, you could use external storage services like Google Drive or Dropbox and link these files to your Jira issues. This way, the files are accessible but don't count against your Jira storage limit.
Upgrade Your Plan: Consider upgrading to a paid plan. Jira's paid plans offer more storage, along with additional features and capabilities. Check Atlassian’s pricing page for more details about the different plans and their benefits.
Before making changes, it's wise to communicate with your team and ensure that any necessary data is backed up or noted elsewhere to avoid losing important information.
I hope this information is helpful.
Cheers,
Melo

just to add to @Melo's answer: For getting an overview of, backing up, and cleaning up your data, you may want to have a look at this free app from the Atlassian Marketplace: Better Attachments; I've used it myself a couple of times and it works great.
Hope this helps,
Best,
Hannes
