Using JSM non licensed users to create JWM issues

Cyrus Marshall August 9, 2023

I setup JWM to manage internal creative service projects.  Video team and Graphic design team.  I have a "traffic manager" to handle the intake of projects by clients submitting a Work Order from a PDF document.  What I would like to do is use JSM forms to send to clients and have them fill out all the important information just like our current work order, then have that request automatically load to my backlog JWM project for trafficking to the appropriate team member.  Then deliverables will be sent to the stakeholder via emails.

Is this possible?  The stakeholders submitting the work order would not have licenses to Jira and I want to make sure this process would work.  Any assistance is appreciated!

Yes, that is possible if you use automation to copy the issue over to your JWM project. I have a similar setup for one of our teams were they are using two forms in JSM that the user fills out, and then that form is added as a pdf to the issue that is created in their JSW project.
