Unable to mention or tag someone in Jira Comments.

Hey guys,

Would like to raise this issue since I was unable to tag or mention in the comments.
I would suggest to remove the placeholder `Type @ to mention or notify someone` for those users that cannot tag or mention in the comments.

It would be great the JIRA dev/staff be able to address this.

Welcome to Atlassian Community :)

I understand that you are unable to @mention users in the comment section of your project.

You need to have Browse users and groups in global permission. 

To access and edit your site's Global Permissions do the following: 

1. Choose > System.

2. Click Global Permissions.

3. Make sure your user is included in the Users / Groups that have the Browse users and groups permission.
