UX design - best practices for tracking UX design tasks and then how to get them in devs backlog

Hello, 

We would like to better understand what best practices for setting up a project for mobile/web development.  Currently all work is tracked in Jira Software

• Do teams have separate boards for UX work (so it is not jamming up the devs backlog?) - Is it tracked in JWM or Jira software
• Should a team use automation for once UX is approved to move it to devs backlog? 

Where can I find more information?  I have lots more questions!!
