On multiple occasions, tickets that are marked done and are not showing in any backlog at the beginning of a sprint, appear in the sprint in the done column. These tickets should not populate in the new sprint, but I can not figure out why they populate. Their resolution/status is marked Done which is mapped to the last column on the board, and in most cases, they are not linked to an unfinished epic or subtask.

I have seen multiple posts in the Jira communities of users having similar problems, and none of the standard causes proved to be true.
Do you happen to have multiple scrum boards referencing the same issues?
In most of the other posts the user has been encouraged to contact Atlassian support directly, and to report back what they learned. Unfortunately I have not seen any of them report back so far.
