Set up special Permissions for Work Management Company Managed Projects

Edited

In Jira Service Management, we have many "Company Managed" business type Projects.
For each "Company" Managed" business Project we are using a Form so that all users can open an issue.

For these Projects I want to create a Permission Scheme to use as a template for most of these Projects.

What I want to succeed is the following:

  1. Only the users that have been added to the People section of the Project (with whichever role) are available to see all the issues of the particular Project

  2. Users that are not added to the People section of a Project cannot see the issues.
I want so that these users who are not added to the Project, can see only the issues where they are as "Assignees" or as "Reporters"

Is there a way to create a Permission Scheme that follows the above conditions?
I couldn't think of a way.

Hi Dimitris,

I moved this to the Jira Work Management product because it has nothing to do with Marketplace apps nor Jira Service Management.

You are probably going to have to implement Issue Level Security to make this work. If you grant Browse Project to Current Assignee or Reporter, I think those users will still be able to see everything on the project.

You can only limit visibility to issues on a project via Issue Level Security that I am aware of.

Yes, creating a Permission Scheme that follows the conditions you mentioned is possible. As explained in the provided context, you can create a role and customize its permissions. Then, you can add the specific users to the People section of the project with the appropriate role. This will limit their access to only the issues in that project. Users not added to the project can only see the issues where they are the "Assignee" or "Reporter." You can also adjust the "Browse Projects" permission to limit access to only the added users. For more information and specific steps on creating a Permission Scheme, refer to the Atlassian documentation or contact their support team.
