Search list based on Issue number

Hi, 

Why is not possible to search in the List view based on the issue number? For example issue is ABC-123, I want to search in List "123" and be able to show the issue. I think this was possible, but now it isn't, it only searches by name of the issue. Is this happening to you too?

Depends on the power of the virtual machine. Will it have the same resources (CPU, Memory etc) as the old physical server?

Assuming it does, then the one thing you need to look at is the disk.  You need the JIRA index to be held on the fastest disk you can find - shared storage is usually inadequate, you need a local, physically attached disk.
