How do I see a custom field when creating a new form?

I just created a new custom field and want to use it on a new form entry and don't see it displayed on the right-hand side where it lists the fields available for the form.

What you suggested is the best possible way forward, in anycase you wont be running JIRA on this server anymore, install/configure apache to catch all and redirect to the new url/server this is very simple and a easy thing to do or you want to make it even more simple you can ask your network team to point the old url/dns/ip to the new server.
