We do frequent upgrades on our server. We need to import changes Workflows for different environments. Is there a way to import a Workflow XML and replace an existing one with the same name? The import requires a unique name but that means we would have to change each project for the workflow. Can we just replace the workflow so that all the projects get the updated workflow? I looked at https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Configuring+Workflow#ConfiguringWorkflow-ImportinganXMLworkflowintoJIRA. I did not see option to replace existing workflow

Make sure when you share, you select with whom, add the selection and then share.

It is also very important that the information within the dashboard if there are filters are shared

No you can't. After importing, you will need to change the workflow & it's scheme and then migrate the issues from the old workflow to the new workflow.
