In JWM it seems issues are displayed and mapped to the Timeline View and Calendar view when the Jira default "Start date" and "Due date" fields are used and filled in.
Is it possible to use a custom field of field type - date picker to be used by the Timeline View and Calendar View? eg if I create a custom field "Next start date" and "Next due date".
Right now issues only seem to be shown in the Timeline and Calendar view of a JWM project when using the default fields
Look for "time tracking" rather than "original estimate" in the list of fields to add to the screen - try that instead. (The estimate and time tracking fields are actually all one field, displayed differently)

Depends on how you've set it all up.

(I'm not sure what you mean by legacy mode - there's a couple of things it might refer to, but they're minor and have nothing to do with screens, just the way some data is handled)

I edited the Default Screen and do not see Time Tracking in the pulldown.

Have you got Timetracking enabled in the global configuration? If it's off, it won't let you see the field at all.
