Not possible to share a dashboard ?

A colleague of mine created a dashboard from a jira work management project

Currently he is not able to share it with anyone else, as shown as below

The dashboard can only be private

I have been through the JWM documentation and I could not find any information about some limitation about this topic.

Sharing Dashboards and Filters is a Global Permission set in the Jira Administration: Manage global permissions | Atlassian Support

Can you check whether that is enabled?

As @Rebekka Heilmann _viadee_ mentioned, you can check  if your Admin has restricted who can share filters/dashboard.

Go to  https://xyz.atlassian.net/secure/admin/GlobalPermissions!default.jspa where xyz is your instance.

Additionally, for anyone not particularly familiar with this UI, you can enable dashboard sharing settings for only groups, not individuals.

And the way to add new groups to the "Share dashboards and filters" setting (or any setting on this page) is:

• Scroll to the bottom
• You'll see a Grant Permission section.
• Select the permission to grant
• And the group to grant it to
• DONE!
