Is there a way to move subtasks to a different status on the board, independent of the main tasks? For example, if I have an event specified as a task and it is in the planning status, but I have completed the subtask "organize catering" and want to move it to the "done" status.

You can do this, but your system needs to be configured to allow it.

Columns are a status, or a collection of status, that come from the workflow your issues are using.  To be able to move a card from one column to another, you must have a transition from the current status to one in the column you want to drop it into.  You also need permission to use the transition.

If you cannot drag and drop your sub-tasks, then have a look at the workflow and board column mappings!  Talk to the project lead/admin about getting it changed!

Hi Laura,

Sure - you should be able to do that already. If the board won't let you move it independently, then just go into the issue and change the status to the next step in the workflow.
