Hello,

We have implemented some automation for a customer in a Jira Work Management project that creates a large number of Subtasks.

If you want to amend individual fields in the Subtasks, the easiest way to do this is through the List view. However, we have noted that even though, in the Board view, it seems that the correct number of Subtasks is created (263), that same number is not viewable in the List. I just counted manually and even including the option for "Show done items", we don't even see half of the issues, just 102 out of 263.

Has anyone else had this experience? Do you know how to make sure all of the Subtasks available are shown in the List view?

Thanks!

Hi @Valerie Knapp

I just tried something similar and there indeed seems to be some limit of issues to be shown in the list view. I'm not aware if and how this could be changed, but I'd expect this to be fixed at some point.

... and just to put this out there:

For an immediate solution, if you're open to apps from the Atlassian Marketplace, this would work fine with the app that my team is working on, JXL for Jira

JXL is a full-fledged list/spreadsheet view for your issues that allows viewing, inline-editing, sorting and filtering by all your issue fields, much like you'd do in e.g. Excel or Google Sheets. It also supports issue hierarchies, as well as bulk editing via copy/paste - plus, it shows any number of issues in one list.

This is how this looks in action:

JXL integrates with your project sidebar, so many of our customers use it as an alternative and extension to the native Jira views. It's also worth noting that JXL works with and across any Jira project type - be it JWM, Jira Software, or Jira Service Management.

Any questions just let me know,

Best,

Hannes
