Jira Work Management - Asset Custom Field

Hello! 

My organization just invested in the premium plan of JSD. This gives us the possibility of start using the Asset Management tool. We have projects in Jira Work Management and I see a benefit of linking tickets from JWM to an Asset object. 

Therefore; I am wondering if I am able to create a custom field for our Assets in a Jira Work Management Project. 

I seem to be able to do it in Jira Software and (obviously) JSD, but not Jira Work Management since the Issue type & Screens are handled from within the project.

Can someone explain further?

going by the documentation it should be possible.

The project you have for Jira Work Management, is this a company or team managed project? Cause a team managed project is a lot more limited and the global fields don't cary over to those.
