Is there a way to disable direct logins and force SSO logins?

We have SSO enabled to log in to our cloud instance but seems like people are still able to log in directly with a username and password as well, how can I turn the direct log in off?

Hi @Karen Kelly

You'll need to configure and save SAML and then enforce SAML single sign-on in an authentication policy.

To configure SAML single sign-on from Authentication policies:

  1. Go to admin.atlassian.com. Select your organization if you have more than one.
  2. Select Security > Authentication policies.
  3. Select Edit for the policy you want to configure.
  4. When you select Use SAML single sign-on, Atlassian redirects you from the authentication policy to the SAML SSO configuration page.
  5. Once you're done configuring SAML SSO, you need to enforce SSO in the policy.

To enforce single sign-on:

  1. Go to admin.atlassian.com. Select your organization if you have more than one.
  2. Select Security > Authentication policies.
  3. Select Edit for the policy you want to enforce.
  4. Select Enforce single sign-on.

Note: Before you begin, there are things you need to properly setup before you setup SAML SSO. I strongly recommend you thoroughly read this Atlassian Knowledge Article to ensure you’ll well setup.

Best regards,

Hamza

Hello,

Is there any way that we would be able to set up a remote session to sort this out? We have SSO set up already, but somehow people are able to bypass this. We are also not having luck to configure with Microsoft Azure.

So, for others coming to this answer this functionality is only available if you purchase the additional Atlassian Access service from Atlassian - which is only mentioned in the link provided by Hazma's answer.
