I have found documentation on how to increase the service limits on automation for the server edition. Is it also possible to increase these limits of needed on the cloud version?
No, the Cloud service limits are https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/what-are-service-limits/ as I'd guess you've already found.
Atlassian won't change these, as they're there to prevent problems (that they'd then have to get involved in fixing)
I'm afraid that @Nic Brough _Adaptavist_ is correct, these limits don't get raised. However, if you'd like to raise a support ticket then we might be able to help you rework a rule in order to not hit these limits.
