I can no longer import an Issue csv file. There is no way to map the Issue Id, so none of the subtasks will import. I used to do this all before, using the same procedure, but the Issue Id has been removed from the list of fields to map to in the drop-down.
Note that I am using "Company Managed" project via "Project management" template.
I have chosen to map the field "Parent Id" to map to "Parent" in the drop-down list, but it gives me an error:
Issue 'Send Email' doesn't have a valid Parent selection. Issue will not be created.
CSV File:
Summary | Issue id | Parent id | Issue Type | Components |
Kick off meeting | 1 | Task | Kick Off Meeting
IT Deliverables | 2 | Task | IT Deliverables
Send Email | 3 | 1 | SubTask | Kick Off Meeting |
Hi Mark,
I see that you are on the Free plan, but I don't think that's the problem (though it might be).
Try going to Settings > System > External System Import and do the import through that path instead of through the Filter/Search function.
Thanks for your help, I was able to map the IssueId and it imported successfully!

Great! I am glad that worked for you

I am also using a compnay managed JIRA project; i do not have the ability to go to the Settings -> System - > External System Import....
I only have Filter/Search Import menu available to me; the Issue ID is definitely missing now; i used to be able to bulk create tasks/subtassks from a CSV file but now the parent mapping doesnt work because i cant select Issue ID which means none of the subtasks are created.
This used to work quite fine and has only recently stopped working.
