I've an main task under which 2 or more sub tasks. But I couldn't able to assign points to sub task

Can some one explain or send me a video link (if available) on this question.

I've added a main task in a sprint and under this main task I've 2 or more subtask.  I can able to assign points to this main task alone and unable to add points to the sub task.  It would be better if the points for sub-task can be added up to arrive the main task points.
