I cannot save Filter Permissions

Theo Swartz December 11, 2024

In my project, I've saved and used filters for many months. In the last few days, I've suddenly found an issue with editing my Filters that I have bookmarked; filters which I created. Specifically I am trying to change my Filters' permissions from "Private" to "My Organization" by clicking filter details in my filter. I do so, then click Save... then click the filter details again and see that my change was not saved - it is still Private. Does anyone else have a similar issue and tips on resolving it? Could it be a bug?

Hi @Theo Swartz , great question! The UI for editing dashboard and filter permissions is a little clunky. Usually this happens when the Add button is not pressed before saving.

Can you confirm that after editing the permissions in step 1 below that you are clicking Add (step 2) before clicking Save (step 3)?

Oh gosh. Thank you, Harrison, that was indeed the issue. Despite knowing the solution, it still doesn't make sense to me -- "Add" is an unexpected verb to me here -- but I can share my filters now. Such a timely and accurate response is very much appreciated!
