How to know all the components in a project

Melina Ailin Maquieyra January 18, 2022

Hi. I'm using Jira Core Server and I need to list all components in a project with JQL advanced. Can I have that information?

Thanks!

Hi @Melina Ailin Maquieyra

It's not possible with JQL.

You can view a Project's Components if you're a Project Admin via Project Settings:

  1. Go to Jira Admin (cog icon) > Projects
  2. Select your Project from the list
  3. Navigate to Components on the left-hand menu.

You should also be able to view Components from the Project menu (left-hand sidebar). This sidebar will also have a direct link to your Project Settings via a button at the bottom if the bar.

If this isn't sufficient for your need - could you clarify why you want to search via JQL for Components?

Hi @Melina Ailin Maquieyra

JQL is for searching issues not components

Navigate to project settings to get the list of components

Thanks,

Pramodh
