How to create a custom field?

I am the administrator for my company's Jira Project Board but I am unable to create a custom field. I followed the steps - Project settings > Issues > Fields and I do not have custom field option. Please help, thank you!

Hi @Aksheeta ,

Welcome to the community !!

Please go to Jira admin settings --> Issues --> Custom field. 

Select the type of field required and name it. Later add it to the project issue type screens

Seems you are not a Jira admin. Please contact Jira admin in your organization. They will be able to help you.
