Hi
I am new to Jira Work Management and I need to be able to set a category based on user input from a form.
The user will select from a dropdown for the question 'Business Area Impacted' and I want the answer to this to be duplicated as the category so I can group by Category.
Can anyone help with this as Category doesn't seem to be a field you can use in the automations?
Thanks
Hello @Ashley Fisher
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
Can you confirm what your hosting type is - Jira Cloud or Jira self-hosted (Server or Data Center)?
Assuming you are working with Jira Cloud, refer to the answer I put on this post:
Please let me know if that solves your problem or if you have additional questions.
Is the value in the selection list an exact match for a Category value you have already created?

Hey
It does now!
I'm now getting this error - Additional fields contains invalid field(s) in 'update' or 'fields' section: Category
Thanks

Hey
Yes Jira Cloud. I did try that but wasn't sure it applied to my query.
If I want the content of another field to go in the category, would I put the name of the field where you have Categoy1?
