How to auto open and assign subtask to the multiuser field?

Hi,

In the company that I am working for we have need of auto generated subtask.

The US is following:

Once a user create task and add multiple users to Additional Participants field (custom multiuser field), automatically subtasks are opened and assigned to the users from this Additional Participants field.

I've tried several different approaches and none of them is completely working.

Issues that I have:

1. Subtasks are opened only when I add users one by one. If I add three users at once only one subtask will be created.

2. I don't know how to automatically assign users from multiuser field to subtask.

Thanks a lot!

Jovana

Hi @jovana.cica

Welcome to the Community

Are you using any script to create a subtask whenever user being added to the Participants field?

If yes then you need to see how many user being added to the field and based on count of user you need to create subtask and assign one of the user to that subtask.

Hi,

Thanks for reply.

I haven't used script.

I have created rule in Automation for Jira section.

Do you suggest I should rather use scripts?
