How to assign the same task multiple times to different users?

I have a group of product managers to whom I assign the same work in parallel (each of the PMs is responsible for certain brands in our portfolio). For example:

Task: Reduce stock levels

Subtasks:

  1. Create report of old stock
  2. Communicate the problematic SKUs to supplier and ask for solution
  3. Create a mailing campaign to support sales
  4. ...

Then I need each of the PMs to do this for their products.

Is there a better way to handle this than just cloning the issue and assigning it to each user?

Hi @Adam Gregar and welcome to the community,

Cloning is by far the best choice you've got. I began writing another solution as you will see down below, but even the thought of writing a such cumbersome workaround isn't worth it. Apart from cloning, you could search the marketplace for an app which would suit your needs.

If you are working on a CMP, then what you could possibly think of implementing is the following scenario, which can't be dynamic. It's going to be "hard coded", meaning that your PMs should remain the same (as number and as users):

  • You can have only one task with its subtasks, assigned to you
  • You will create X self transitions on your subtask/task workflow which represents the subtasks each user should....
