Hi,
I just discovered that some Jira Software Users were able to access Jira Work Management boards, eventhough I did not explicitly invite them to JWM.
I also saw the screenshot at the bottom. I just want to confirm that if we upgrade JWM from free to paid @ $5 / user, that we will be able to limit users' access via Project Roles so that only invited JSW users can view JWM?
On a separate note, does anyone know how to convert a project from team to company-managed project?
Thanks so much
Beng
Here you can find the documentation about the permissions of JWM:
You can't edit project permissions or roles on the Free plan for Jira Software or Jira Work Management, and you can't configure issue-level security on any Free plan (including Jira Service Management). Find out more about how project permissions work in Free plans. To take advantage of Jira's powerful project permission management features, upgrade your plan.
The Free plan for Jira Software and Jira Work Management is for small teams of fewer than 10 people who may be just getting started with Jira. Project permissions, roles, and issue-level security aren't configurable when you're on the Free plan. To take advantage of Jira's powerful project permission management features, upgrade your plan.
The only permissions- or security-related restriction for Jira Service Management Free plans is issue-level security. If your Jira Service Management site is on the Free plan, you won't be able to set the security level for individual issues (requests).
Starting on a Free plan
If you've always had the Free plan for Jira Software or Jira Work Management Cloud, everyone who can access that product is a project admin. It isn't possible to change the permission scheme, edit roles, or add an issue security scheme.
So yes, if you upgrade you will be able to modify permissions and to restrict JWM projects
