Can anyone advise how to integrate JWM to an existing Jira Service Management Portal? I'm looking to create a single point for customers to either raise a incident or request a item via JWM.

Your only real option is to initially save the issue to the JSM project and then use automation to clone the issue into your JWM project and auto-transition the JSM issue to Done.
Or you could do a manual move of the issue from JSM to JWM.
