How do you get to "Your Plan"

In this article, Jira give this advice on how to edit your teams:

"In your plan [my emphasis], navigate to the teams view. The teams view will be displayed."

But where is "In your plan" Jira?? If you say "In your plan" you have to tell people where that is. You can't just say "In your plan" and rely on telepathy. That's not how a support article works. I've pasted an image of what I see in Jira. I have looked everywhere, I cannot find this "In your plan" that your article refers to.

Hi @Eric Woehrling this documentation article refers to the Plans of the built-in app Advanced Roadmaps in Jira Software Premium/Enterprise.

It's not related to Jira Work Management (the product group where you posted this question).

Does your organization use Advanced Roadmaps?

If yes, do you have access to a Plan in Advanced Roadmaps?

You can find out by clicking on PlansView all plans

"Your plan" is any Plan in Advanced Roadmaps you have permissions for. That can either be as an administrator, shared teams manager, user of viewer.

If you are not the admin of if you are unsure, please contact one of your Jira admins.

Hi David,

Thank you.

The problem is, all online articles relate to Jira Advanced Roadmap.

We created the teams in Jira. Where can you find out how to edit teams in Jira work management?

Please check this article: Create and manage an Atlassian team

The only function of a team right now is the ability to mention a team or share content with the team, that's it.

Thanks David, that's the solution

Hi Eric,

I'm afraid this is not the place to contact the Atlassian team to tell them that their manual needs editing.
However, the article talks about the "Advance Roadmap" addon. The tutorial refers to the "Managing teams" section - this page already assumes a basic knowledge of Advance Roadmaps (please see eg. Creating your plans).

In Jira you can find it in the top bar under the "Plans" menu. Of course, the first step is to create "Your Plan".

Pavel

Pavel,

Thank you.

As a customer I assume my feedback should be helpful to Jira. Maybe this isn't the place for it, but it's what came up when I did a search. Jira is there to make my life easier, not to give me extra work.

What do you mean by "it" in "you can find it"? In Jira work management, which I use, there is no plans menu as shown in my screenshot.

Hi Eric,

Thank you for your response. I mean, the Atlassian Community is not the right place to create feedback for Atlassian, because on the Atlassian Community, Jira users help other Jira users (We have nothing to do with the Atlassian team :-)).

I see a menu for "Plans" on your screenshot:plans.PNG
