How can I prevent notifications from reaching the assignees when loading a new project?

Viviana Vazza May 9, 2022

When I open a new project, I upload tasks massively (via a CSV file) where "assignees" are also present. In this way, however, for each activity uploaded, an email arrives to the assignees. I would like to prevent this from happening because for each person we get to a large number of activities. Is there a way to do that?

Process: from "issues", click "import issues from CSV" (first pic), upload file and insert detail, before "import" click "validate" to be sure that all info are correct. Once it is, if choose "begin import" all activities will be created but all assignee will receive an e-mail (for each activities).

Hi @Viviana Vazza , welcome to the Atlassian Community!

You can create a new Notification Scheme without any notifications, then (temporarily) assign your project to that notification scheme, import the CSV, and then re-assign the project to the current notification scheme.

Hi Dave, thank you!

I’d say the solution was easier than I thought, thank you, very useful. So that, I just select "none" and, after I have uploaded, I switch again.
