Hide a field from the reporter

Hello 

My question is, can I hide a custom field from the reporter ?

No, Jira doesn't have field-level security.

You might want to check out this new Marketplace app that while it will not completely hide the field, it can hide the value in the field. It's currently in Beta.

As per what nick said currently we don't have any field level security . But we can use add-ons which can perform this function .

Like scriptrunner for jira can be used to able able to perform what is required by you .

Cloud, as tagged in the question, does not allow Scriptrunner to do Behaviours (yet).  Also be aware that if you do try it with Behaviours on server, it is NOT secured in any way, the field still shows up in search results and the value is in the html your browser gets, so the data is still actually given to the user.
