I created a custom dropdown issue field. Can I add this field to the filter options in the Jira Board?

But, if you are talking about the filter options on a Jira Work management project, then no @Israel Machovec  

At this stage, that is not possible...but i would be very cool if we could add in a subset of custom fields to the filters.
I suggest you hit the "Give feedback" button (in your JWM project) and suggest it.

Are you talking about quick filters?  If so, there should be no problem creating quick filters against the custom field.
