Hi,
I am using Jira Work Management and would like to copy one of my projects to be able to test a new automation there without it affecting the running tasks in the project in case there are still issues with the automation. Unfortunately I can't find the option "Copy" anywhere, only "move to trash" and "project settings".
Can someone help me how to find the option to copy a project?
Kind regards,
Pauline
Hi Pauline,
You can't "copy" a project. You can create a project based on an existing project - which you should do. Then you can use an Automation Rule to clone the current issues in your production project to the test project.

Hello @Pauline Hild,
I am Marlene from codefortynine.
If you you are not able to clone all needed issue data with automation, you can check out Deep Clone for Jira to clone your project.
It is possible to clone team-managed and company-managed projects. You can read more about the Deep Clone Project Clone in our documentation.
Please that you have to enable the Advanced Project Clone if you want to clone team-managed projects or project boards of company-managed projects.
