Can you create a different workflow for subtasks?

My project board doesn't require the same workflow as sub-tasks in a few instances. I would like to included "published" in only the sub-task and also have only the sub-task "publish date" shown on the issues calendar. Is this possible and how do I go about setting it up?

Hi Heather - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

I am not completely following your question. A board will not work for a Jira Work Management project currently if the Workflow Scheme uses multiple workflows (one for Task for example and a different one for Sub-tasks).

And I don't know what you are referring to about "published". Published as it relates to workflows is when you save the workflow and place it into production. There is not date associated with it that shows up on a board or a calendar.

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

The easiest way to do this is probably to find the workflow you are currently using, go to Admin -> Issues -> Workflows, copy it, edit it, adding in your new status, then go to the project's "workflow scheme" and edit that, linking your new workflow to sub-tasks.

For the issues calendar, you need to be using one that will allow you to select only sub-tasks for display.
