Every time a person sends an email I'd like a ticket to be created in Jira. I have a post about housing on various websites. I need those requests sent to Jira and made into open tickets so I can reach back out to potential buyers. Is there a way to use Jira in this type of functionality/manner?
You can set up requests to be created from email in Jira Service Management by using the "email channel" functionality.
The other Jira applications use the issue email handlers to work with issues by email. There are more advanced email handlers in the marketplace, but have a look at the basics before you jump to them, as understanding the built in email handlers puts you in a good place to evaluate more powerful options.
