I have two custom date fields in a Jira WM project.
"Job requisition signed" and "Offer Letter Signed."
I am implementing automation to fill in my "Days to fill" field with the number of days. For example:
Job requisition signed = March 1
Offer Letter signed = March 31
Days to fill should show 30.
I have this formula which is not producing the right count:
{{issue.Offer Letter Signed}}-{{issue.Job Requisition Signed}}
How do I need to update this formula to produce the correct count of calendar days?
Hi @Kelli Keith
Try:
{{issue."Offer Letter Signed".diff(issue."Job Requisition Signed").days.abs}}
See: Jira smart values - date and time
Hope this helps.
Greetings
Gideon
P.S.: I would suggest using the {{issue.customfield_12345}} syntax over the {{issue.Custom Field Name}} approach to be more robust.
