Automation Successful, But No Actions Taken...

David September 28, 2023

The goal is to schedule an automation that runs once a day to check the first status "JR FORM TO HIRE CANDIDATE" for any issues. If there is one, it will send an email to the "Manager" field.

It shows that it ran without error, but no actions were taken. Would anyone be able to direct me to what I may have missed or done incorrectly? Screenshot 2023-09-28 at 10.47.46 AM.pngScreenshot 2023-09-28 at 10.48.05 AM.pngScreenshot 2023-09-28 at 10.48.30 AM.pngScreenshot 2023-09-28 at 10.46.41 AM.png

Hi @Ian Brown,

In this case I would use an "Issue fields condition" instead of a "Advanced compare condition" to avoid any typos on the smart value or status name.

Cheers,

Melo

@Melo I tried to update it using the method you provided, but I get an error, which I am not sure how to resolve. I am very new to JIRA. Would you be able to help me with this?

Hi Ian,

You can select "Run a JQL search and execute actions for each issue in the query" and add a JQL, for example: Project = ProjectKey
