Automatically change name of subtask when name of parent task is changed

Hi,

I'm working with an automation that creates subtasks and each subtask contains the name of the parent task in its name. Sometimes the name of the parent task needs to be changed but the name of the subtask doesn't change as well.

My question now is if it's possible to make the name of the subtask change automatically when the name of the parent task is changed?

Note: The screenshot shows my settings in the automation rule for the title of one of the subtasks in case I have to change that.

Best regards,

Pauline

Hi @Pauline Hild

To achieve that you need to create another rule that will be trigger when summary field will change. Rule should have branch which will be work only on subtask in triggered issue.

Regards,

Seba

Hi Seba,

thanks for your answer. Is the rule created correct like that?

Kind regards,

Pauline
