Adding an issue to more than one project

I am starting to set up issues as 'tasks' on separate projects. Is there a way that these can be added to multiple projects? We use projects to track various tasks, and sometimes these will be tracked by 'projects' in different teams.

I noticed on the example for the new issue view documentation that adding in a projects field is doable. How is this possible?

Hello @Victoria Harvey Welcome to the Atlassian Community

An issue in Jira (Jira Work Management, Jira Software, Jira Service Management) can only belong to one project.

However, you can create issues in different projects and link them together via issue links.

Welcome to the community. I am not exactly sure about your requirement. 

You may try to use "Project Picker" custom field.
