In the first week of my first job at a marketing agency, I sent out an email with a typo in the subject line. It went out to a huge audience for one of our biggest clients. I was sure I'd be fired.

Lucky for me, the client saw the funny side and was very sweet about the whole thing. I felt absolutely awful about it and have NEVER EVER neglected multiple rounds of testing and proofreading since.
