I’m currently managing a mid-sized software development team, and we’ve been leveraging Jira for task tracking and project management. Recently, I’ve been exploring ways to enhance our setup, especially since our operations have expanded significantly. One area of interest is Jira Data Center as we need to manage high availability and handle the growing user base effectively.
Here’s our situation: We are dealing with larger datasets and a rising number of concurrent users, causing occasional performance hiccups. Moving to a self-managed solution like Jira Data Center seems like a viable option, but I’m unsure about its setup, costs, and ongoing maintenance requirements. Does anyone here have experience transitioning from Jira Cloud or Jira Server to Data Center? If so, I’d love to hear about the challenges you faced and how you addressed them.
Also, for those already using Jira Data Center, do you notice significant performance improvements, especially with complex workflows and reports? Lastly, how does integration with other Atlassian tools, like Confluence Data Center, fare in such setups?
