As Trello projects grow in size, we’ve seen teams making the decision to move to Jira Work Management, giving them access to features that enable project management at scale.
We know that importing data is a critical step in the migration process, so today we’re excited to announce our next step towards making importing to Jira Work Management as smooth as possible.
Introducing the new Trello importer for Jira Work Management
The Trello importer follows a simple flow: select your Trello workspace, select a board, and setup the Jira Work Management project where you want your Trello data to land. In the background, we’ll do most of the heavy lifting; bringing across your lists, tasks, checklists, attachments, users, and more.
The best way to see how the new importer works? Try it yourself!
From the navigation, select Projects > Create a new project.
From the sidebar, go to More > select Import data.
Select Import to a new business project.
Go to Import from apps> select Trello.
Note: At the moment, only site admins can import directly from Trello. Learn more about importing data directly from Trello into Jira Work Management.
What’s next?
We’ve started work for allowing imports into team-managed projects and direct imports from other 3rd party tools starting with Asana and Monday.
As we progress we’ll keep you updated here on Atlassian Community. We’d love your feedback and suggestions, so please leave a comment below to keep the conversation going!
