trigger from email to a jira ticket

We use jira service desk. Some people also email our help desk.

Is there a way to have it, so when someone begins an email to our helpdesk, rather than an email message appearing, a form appears, captures the request, and creates it into a help desk ticket?

Well emails fall outside of Jira so any such solution would need to be within the email client. I don’t know of any such mail client addon.
