jira software download

Hello,

i buy a new HP spectra x360 laptop trying to download jira software.after downloading the files when i am trying to open but it show me this message below :

"this file does not have an app associated with it for performing this action please install an app"

please help me on downloading.

There is no download needed to use Jira Cloud (unless you don't have a browser), so I'm very lost on what you are trying to do.

What have you actually downloaded and what installation documentation are you trying to follow?

Ok, you flagged it as Cloud, so I had to go with that at first.  But it's Server.

You have chosen to download the .tar.gz version which is the recommended one for OSX as selected in the download screen.  You can make that work on windows, but you'll need to find a file utility that can decompress and expand the files within it and it's a little more fiddly to install than other options.

I would download the installer for Windows instead, it doesn't need new utilities and will walk you through the installation.
