Hi,

Any idea how to report a problem in regards to reset a password for the above jira.

I tried to reset the password and seems a message which state the password was reset successfully but I never receive the email. Any idea who is responsible to check the issue

Hi Alan,

If I understand your situation, you tried to reset your password on this site running a Jira Server installation, but you never got an email notification about it.   Only a Jira administrator of that site would be able to help you here.  I'm afraid I don't know the exact person at Apache to contact in regard to this problem.  However from searching their Contact page, there looks to be two different ways to try to approach this.

  1. You could try to look through the project list on https://projects.apache.org/projects.html Then locate the project you are trying to access to see if you can contact one of the 'Project data maintainer(s)' listed there.  You might be able to reach out to them to see if they or someone in their organization can look into the details of your Jira account in that system
  2. From reading http://www.apache.org/foundation/contact.html I feel like this could almost be a non-technical contact situation.  The problem here is not in regards to the technical problem with Apache software, but rather the Jira server site you are trying to login to.  In which case I see the instructions of
For problems with the foundation top-level websites (such as http://www.apache.org/, http://people.apache.org/, http://home.apache.org/, http://projects.apache.org, but excluding Web sites of individual Apache Projects), please email webmaster@apache.org. Issues with any individual Apache project's webpage should go to that project's dev@ mailing list.

So perhaps the webmaster email address could also redirect you to the proper Jira Admin in that organization that can better help you here.

Sorry there isn't a clear solution just yet, but these are the two avenues I would try to explore to see if you can successfully recover this login.   If your email address for this account in Jira was set incorrectly, or the Jira server had a problem connecting to the outbound SMTP, either could provide an explanation as to why you did not get an email notification about this.  But I can't say which it might be here.

Andy
