Hi @Prachi Dube and welcome to the community,

Are you indeed on cloud on working on on-premise Jira? If your Jira address is something like  adomain.atlassian.net, then you are on cloud.

If you want to set a field required during a transition, there isn't a need to write a groovy script. Jira cloud comes with an out of the box post function for required fields. Have you check that already?
