how to update workflow when multiple projects are sharing

i have workflow which is shared by multiple projects if i want to change workflow in one project with out effecting other shared projects how can we do?

Hello @venkatesh 

You will have to make a copy of the workflow, make the changes, and apply the customized workflow to the target project.

I would suggest many conversations to understand why this customization is required though. Maintaining multiple workflows will mushroom and become cumbersome to manage.

Either all changes to all projects or none. 

Can the changed be address in another manner like quick filter, labels, something else?

in that case do we need to copy workflow scheme as well right if in case scheme also sharing?

Hi @venkatesh

If the workflow is shared, you cannot edit it without affecting all projects working with that workflow. It sounds logical at first since it is a shared resource. So, either you make generalized changes that are valid for all projects, or you will have to stop sharing the workflow. I would not advise forcing multiple projects into a single workflow and then differentiating using conditions and similar features.
