how to change workflow transition without confirmation

When we were on JIRA Server, a workflow transition, like from Open to In Progress, happened without prompting for a confirmation.

On Cloud each time we transition from any state to another the system prompts for what seems like a confirmation, or allowing for an edit of some element of the ticket before finalizing the transition.

Is there a way to disable this, or allow for the transition to occur without having to "confirm" it?

Hi Bruce,

It sounds like there might be a Transition screen attached to the transition in the workflow.

Go to Settings (gear icon in the upper right) > Issues > Workflows

Search for your workflow and click the 3 dot menu to the right. Then choose Edit

In the Diagram view, click on the transition in question (the line between the statuses) and see if there is a screen list for the transition (see image below).

If there is, click on Edit and the remove the screen.

John,

Thank you so much and thank you for such a quick response!!

I was not aware of that part of the Workflow configuration. That resolved the "extra" step.

I am so pleased with how the Community helps us and trust I will be able to help others along the way :)
